I'd like to share two quick stories about my elementary school days. I remember walking into class one day, and the teacher had a prize. I thought it was so cool! It was a Tragically Hip CD. I didn't win, but everytime I see the Day For Night album, I think of that day. I thought of my elementary school the day of the last Tragically Hip performance on TV. Fast forward to my grade 8 graduation, and I still remember the songs played at the dance. I remember everyone singing along to This Is How We Do It by Montell Jordan, and jumping around to Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex. Music is such an important part of growing up. The teachers set the stage. At a dance, the students are on the stage. With a great dance party, students will remember their elementary school days. I hope one day, students will be able to tell their share stories as well.
